Mon Sep 23 17:42:45 UTC 2024: ## Munster Await Scan Results for New Signing Billy Burns

**Limerick, Ireland** – Munster Rugby are waiting on the results of a scan to determine the extent of a shoulder injury suffered by new signing Billy Burns during their 35-33 victory over Connacht last Saturday. Burns was forced off the field in the 54th minute, leaving the province uncertain about his availability for their upcoming United Rugby Championship (URC) game against Zebre Parma next Saturday.

“His availability for Saturday will be determined later in the week,” Munster stated in their weekly injury bulletin.

The bulletin also highlighted a shoulder injury sustained by Patrick Campbell while playing for Young Munster in the All-Ireland League. Campbell will undergo a specialist review to determine the severity of the injury.

There was some positive news for Munster, as Dave Kilcoyne returns to full training this week. However, a number of other players continue to rehab from various injuries, including Diarmuid Kilgallen (leg), Brian Gleeson (shoulder), Cian Hurley (knee), Tom Ahern (ankle), Rory Scannell (ankle), Paddy Patterson (knee), Edwin Edogbo (Achilles) and Roman Salanoa (knee).

Meanwhile, Leinster and Emerging Ireland winger Tommy O’Brien sustained a hamstring injury while scoring and is set to be assessed further before a decision on his involvement with Emerging Ireland is made.

New signing RG Snyman will step up his rehabilitation programme this week as he nears a return from a foot injury.

James Culhane, who was withdrawn for a Head Injury Assessment towards the end of the Emerging Ireland match, has passed all assessments and is available for selection this weekend. Michael Milne, who was withdrawn with an ankle injury on Friday, will be further assessed this week.
