**Jaipur, India:** Rhea Singha, a 19-year-old from Gujarat, has been crowned Miss Universe India 2024, beating out 51 other finalists. The aspiring entrepreneur and fitness enthusiast will now represent India at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant, taking place in Mexico this November.
Singha, an Ambassador at Large for GLS University where she studies Performing Arts, is known for her “Work Ready with Rhea” initiative aimed at upskilling young people. Following her win, she expressed gratitude and inspiration from previous winners, stating, “I have done so much work to get to this level where I can consider myself worthy enough for this crown.”
The competition, held in Jaipur, saw Pranjal Priya and Chhavi Verg taking home the first and second runner-up titles respectively.
Former Miss Universe India (2015), Urvashi Rautela, served as a judge and expressed confidence in India’s chances at the international competition. “The winners are mind-blowing. They will represent our country very well in Miss Universe, and I am hopeful India will win the Miss Universe crown again this year,” she stated.
