Lalor United has confirmed that John Sapazovski will remain as head coach for the upcoming FV state league 2 north-west season. Sapazovski took over the coaching reins midway through the current season after Tony Sterjovski stepped down following eight years at the helm.
Sapazovski, who joined Lalor in 2018, has extensive experience with the club, having served as reserves coach for seven seasons and working closely with Sterjovski during that time. His appointment follows a successful interim period where he led the team to a strong finish.
“John’s efforts, determination, knowledge and drive for excellence leading our team for the last six games of the season, gave our club the confidence that John is the best coach to take our club forward,” the club announced on social media.
Sapazovski will immediately begin strengthening the squad in preparation for the 2025 season, aiming to field a highly competitive team. Lalor United finished eighth in the current season with eight wins, three draws, and 11 losses.
The club has expressed confidence in Sapazovski’s leadership and wishes him the best for the upcoming season.
