Wed Sep 25 09:55:07 UTC 2024: ## Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Defiant, Refuses to Resign Amid MUDA Case Verdict

**Bengaluru, September 25, 2024:** Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has firmly rejected calls for his resignation following the High Court’s verdict in the MUDA case. The verdict upheld the Governor’s approval for an investigation into the matter.

Siddaramaiah, speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, asserted his innocence, stating that he had done nothing wrong and is prepared to fully cooperate with any investigation. He denounced the opposition’s demands as politically motivated, accusing both the BJP and JD(S) of pursuing “revenge politics” due to his commitment to social justice and support for the poor.

The Chief Minister further claimed that the BJP is using the Raj Bhavan (Governor’s residence) to destabilize his government.

The BJP, however, has planned black flag demonstrations for Wednesday, September 25, to demand Siddaramaiah’s resignation.

The Chief Minister has vowed to continue his legal battle against what he describes as the “vindictive politics” of the opposition parties.
