Mon Sep 23 22:31:40 UTC 2024: ## Inter Miami Fans Slam Club for “Dollar Store” Season Ticket Holder Gifts

**Miami, FL** – Inter Miami CF, currently riding high on the wave of Lionel Messi’s arrival, is facing criticism from its own fans for the underwhelming gifts given to season ticket holders. Hosts Pieter Brown and Ed Serrano of Futbol Miami TV, long-time season ticket holders themselves, expressed their dissatisfaction with the offerings, calling them “cheap” and “Dollar Store quality.”

This year, season ticket holders are presented with a choice of a tumbler cup, flag, or one of two hats, all bearing the Inter Miami logo. Serrano compared the items to generic merchandise, suggesting that a club aiming for “big team” status should offer better quality to its loyal supporters.

Brown went further, claiming co-owners Jorge Mas and David Beckham don’t care about season ticket holders. He pointed to the significant price increase in ticket prices (171% since 2023) while the gifts remain cheap and unimpressive.

Social media posts from other fans echoed the sentiment, with many expressing disappointment and questioning the value of their investment in season tickets.

“Man, it is so sad. Imagine paying thousands for [the] entire season and [the] best they can do is hat, cup, or flag,” one fan wrote.

The issue is compounded by the fact that Inter Miami is experiencing a financial boom, driven by record jersey sales and lucrative sponsorships. Despite the high salaries paid to Messi and other star players, the club is reportedly generating $200 million in revenue per season.

Other MLS teams provide their season ticket holders with more substantial packages, often including multiple items like bags, beanies, scarves, and stickers. The perceived disparity between Inter Miami’s offering and those of other clubs fuels the frustration among fans.

Brown and Serrano are particularly upset by the discrepancy between the gifts offered to regular season ticket holders and those provided to VIPs. Premium seat holders receive a wider range of options, including a fancier cup, cooler, towel, or backpack.

“I pay the money to go see the games and have a good time. But when you see other clubs doing better than you, and you want to be the class of the league, you sell more jerseys than anyone else in the world, you’re getting sponsorships like crazy, we should be getting [better],” Brown said.

Inter Miami’s silence on the matter has only fueled the growing discontent among fans who feel overlooked and underappreciated. The club’s perceived lack of effort in acknowledging their loyal supporters, especially in the midst of unprecedented financial success, could have long-term consequences on their relationship with the fan base.
