Mon Sep 23 21:51:54 UTC 2024: ## Korg Reissues Classic Analog Synth, PS-3300 FS, for a Pricey but Potentially Worthwhile Return

**London, UK** – Synth enthusiast and YouTube personality Sam Battle (LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER) has unveiled a new video exploring the Korg PS-3300 FS, a long-awaited reissue of the iconic 1977 polyphonic analog synthesizer.

The PS-3300 FS is essentially three full-sized synths in one, allowing for complex layering and sonic exploration. This reissue features modern updates, including USB MIDI, patch memory, and more.

While Battle was able to get his hands on one of the few PS-3300 FS synths currently available, Korg has yet to release pricing or availability details. Early estimates suggest a retail price of around GBP 13,000.

Despite the hefty price tag, many consider the PS-3300 FS a steal compared to the original models, which can fetch upwards of GBP 60,000 – 80,000 on the secondary market. This has led to speculation that the reissue will sell out quickly.

While not everyone can afford the PS-3300 FS, there are several high-quality VST emulations available, such as those by Cherry Audio and Full Bucket Music.

For those seeking a more affordable alternative, Korg may consider releasing a smaller, more accessible version of the PS-3300 FS, similar to the recent release of the ARP 2600.
