The highly anticipated collaboration between Tyler, the Creator’s GOLF le FLEUR* label and Converse is back, this time featuring a fresh collection of Chuck Taylor All-Star 70s inspired by Airedale Terriers. The “Darryl” collection, named after Tyler’s beloved Airedale, showcases a vintage aesthetic with a subtle nod to the brand’s signature prep style.
The five new colorways, including Dachshund, Lemon Meringue, Margarita, Milky Blue, and Orchid Petal, are presented on Converse’s classic canvas with extra thick laces and aged white midsoles. Each shoe features a hidden illustration of Tyler in his signature bellhop suit on the bottom, while the iconic Airedale graphic subtly peeks from the outsoles onto the heel.
The new collection, a departure from the vibrant pixelated camouflage and translucent soles of previous releases, leans into a more minimalist and nostalgic aesthetic. The shoes evoke a summery feel with their soft, powdery hues, yet remain versatile enough to be styled throughout the year.
The first drop of the Converse x GOLF le FLEUR* Darryl Chuck 70 will be available on September 26th at both Converse and GOLF le FLEUR* websites. Five additional colorways will be released in November, leading up to the 2024 Camp Flog Gnaw music festival.
