Samsung has launched the Galaxy M55s in India, a seemingly rebranded version of the Galaxy M55 launched earlier this year. The phone, priced at INR 19,999 (~$240) for the 128GB version and INR 22,999 (~$275) for the 256GB version, boasts a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a triple-camera setup featuring a 50MP primary camera with OIS.
Under the hood, the Galaxy M55s is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, accompanied by 8GB of RAM and a microSD card slot. The phone runs Android 14-based One UI 6.1 software, and Samsung promises four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates.
The Galaxy M55s will be available for purchase on Amazon India and Samsung India’s website starting September 26. Samsung is also offering a discount of INR 2,000 (~$24) for buyers using select credit or debit cards.
While the phone offers solid mid-range specs, it seems to be more of a re-release than a completely new model. This move might be Samsung’s strategy to appeal to a wider audience in India, especially during the festive season.
