**Oslo, Norway:** Former US Men’s National Team head coach Bob Bradley has parted ways with Norwegian second division side Stabaek, the club announced today. The decision comes after Stabaek suffered its third consecutive defeat, dropping them to seventh place in the league standings with seven matches remaining.
This marks the second time Bradley has left the club, previously managing them from 2014-15. During his first tenure, he became the first American to lead a team in the top flight of a European league, guiding Stabaek to the Europa League.
Despite his impressive track record, including six trophies at the club and international level, Bradley’s recent struggles with Stabaek have led to the decision to end their collaboration.
“Bob will forever be a special part of the club’s history,” said Stabaek chairman Espen Moe. “After a longer period of limited development and varying results, we have, in consultation with Bob, agreed to end the collaboration. We are very grateful for the work and effort Bob has put into the club and we wish him the best of luck in the future.”
Bjørn Helge Riise will take over as temporary head coach for the remainder of the season.
Bradley, who also managed European clubs Swansea City and Le Havre, as well as MLS clubs LAFC and Toronto FC, has had a long and successful managerial career. However, some believe this latest departure might signal the end of his coaching journey.
