Mon Sep 23 23:20:28 UTC 2024: ## Former FBI Agent Pleads Guilty to Theft During Search Warrants

**Houston, TX** – A former FBI agent, Nicholas Anthony Williams, has been convicted of theft and providing false statements after stealing from multiple Houston residents while executing search warrants. Williams, who served as an FBI special agent in Houston since 2019, was indicted in January for stealing property and money from residences during searches.

The investigation uncovered that Williams also used his government-issued credit card fraudulently.

One of the victims, Alexander Fan, a Houston resident sentenced to probation for participating in the January 6th Capitol riot, reported missing cash and silver after Williams and other agents executed a search warrant at his residence.

U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani stated that Williams “betrayed the legacy and the community’s trust” by stealing from citizens. He emphasized that “no one is above the law,” and that the justice system will hold Williams accountable for his actions.

Williams is currently on bond and will appear before a judge in early 2025.
