A Canadian YouTuber, Troydan, has become the talk of the internet after revealing he spent a staggering $67,000 on a third-row floor ticket to UFC 306. While the event was a massive success for the UFC, Troydan’s decision to shell out such a hefty sum has left many questioning his financial sanity.
The ticket, which was actually purchased by Troydan’s friend’s mother, included a number of VIP perks such as a dedicated entrance, a post-fight Octagon experience, a post-weigh-in reception with UFC athletes, in-venue hospitality, meet and greets, and a reserved seat for the ceremonial weigh-ins. He also bought a spot on the Octagon floor with his name for additional cost.
Despite the extravagant experience, Troydan himself admitted that the fights weren’t particularly memorable, though he did praise The Sphere arena as a unique and visually stunning venue.
While many would agree that $67,000 is an exorbitant amount to spend on a single fight ticket, Troydan seems unfazed. After all, it wasn’t his money, and his experience, however extravagant, is entirely his own.
