**DUBAI, UAE** – Dubai Cares, a global organization dedicated to improving children’s access to quality education, has launched a new report titled “Rewiring Education: The Climate-Education Nexus” during the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) week. The report, a culmination of two years of consultations and discussions with education and climate stakeholders, advocates for a unified approach to tackling climate change and transforming education systems.

The report emphasizes the urgent need to integrate climate action and educational transformation, highlighting the immense potential of this nexus to drive systemic change. It offers practical solutions and concrete recommendations for integrating these areas into cohesive strategies, providing a blueprint for collaboration.

**His Excellency Dr. Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer and Vice-Chairman of Dubai Cares**, stressed the importance of prioritizing education in climate discussions, stating: “Real progress on global issues… depends on fundamentally transforming education systems. This report offers a clear roadmap for integrating education into the climate agenda… The time to act is now to equip everyone with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to build a sustainable future.”

The report presents five key solutions:

* **Early Childhood Development (ECD)**
* **Planet-friendly school meals**
* **Teaching as a green profession**
* **Youth green skills development**
* **Strategic private sector engagement**

These solutions demonstrate how collaboration can align education transformation with climate action, economic growth, and social progress. The report also identifies nine key recommendations across policy, financing, and research to create an enabling environment that scales these solutions.

The launch of this report follows the successful RewirEd Summit 2023 at COP28 UAE, which brought together over 1,000 participants from 76 countries to discuss the crucial role education plays in addressing climate challenges.
