**Malappuram, Kerala:** Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be attending a national symposium and award ceremony organized by the Aryadan Muhammed Memorial Committee in Nilambur, Kerala today. The Chief Minister is scheduled to leave for Kerala at 3 PM and will attend the event at 5 PM. He will be presenting an award to AICC General Secretary (Organization) K.C. Venugopal and delivering the keynote address at the symposium before returning to Bengaluru later in the night.
**Mangaluru, Karnataka:** The Flaunt Cosmetic Surgery and Hair Transplant Clinic in Bendoorwell, Kankanady, has been temporarily closed following the death of a young man during a cosmetic procedure. The closure was ordered by the District Health and Family Welfare Officer, Dr. H.R. Thimmaiah, on the directives of District Collector Mullai Mugilan.
The deceased, Muhammad Mazin, a 30-year-old resident of Akkarekere, Ullala, had visited the clinic on Saturday morning for a minor cyst removal. However, his family alleges that he died during the procedure due to alleged negligence in administering anesthesia. The Health Department has filed a suo-moto case in response to the family’s serious allegations.
Following the incident, health officials conducted an inspection of the clinic and discovered a lack of basic facilities necessary for such procedures. An expert committee has been formed to conduct a detailed inquiry into the case and will submit its findings to the Deputy Commissioner.
