Mon Sep 23 21:44:36 UTC 2024: ## Clemson Dominates NC State, Showing Offensive Firepower and Defensive Dominance
Clemson made a powerful statement Saturday, crushing NC State 59-35 in a game that showcased both explosive offense and suffocating defense. The Tigers quickly took control, scoring 28 unanswered points in the first quarter thanks in part to two crucial turnovers forced by the defense.
One such turnover came courtesy of T.J. Parker’s strip sack in the first quarter, setting up a five-play drive that culminated in a two-yard touchdown pass from Cade Klubnik to Antonio Williams. By halftime, the Wolfpack had only managed one touchdown and were held to a meager 29 rushing yards.
“I love seeing it go hand-in-hand,” said Parker, praising the synergy between the offense and defense. “We work hard together, and it’s great to see both thriving.”
Parker emphasized that the defense’s motivation was intrinsic, stating, “Even if [the offense] went three-and-out, we’re still going to have that same energy. We love playing football.” He believes the offensive improvement has only fueled the defensive fire, adding, “Iron sharpens iron. They work hard, and it pushes us to get better too.”
Clemson will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup as they host Stanford at Memorial Stadium next Saturday.
