Mon Sep 23 15:15:00 UTC 2024: ## Chesterfield Police Arrest Suspect in Fatal Shooting

**Chesterfield, VA** – Chesterfield County Police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday afternoon at an apartment complex off Iron Bridge Road. The victim, identified as Terran Goode, 31, of Colonial Heights, was found suffering from a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police responded to the reported shooting at Hamner Terrace at approximately 4:25 p.m. on Saturday. Following their investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for the arrest of Joshua Carter, 28, of Ettrick. Carter was apprehended in Richmond with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. He has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
