Chelsea will host League Two side Barrow AFC at Stamford Bridge in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, September 25. Kick-off is scheduled for 12:15 AM IST.

The two sides have only met once before, in a 5-0 FA Cup victory for Chelsea in 1948. Chelsea enter the competition as a European side, receiving a bye in the first two rounds. They are currently fifth in the Premier League under new manager Enzo Maresca, coming off a 3-0 away win against West Ham.

Barrow, meanwhile, are flying high in League Two, sitting at the top of the table with five wins from their first seven matches. They come into the cup tie on the back of a 2-0 home win over Newport County.

The Carabao Cup, also known as the EFL Cup, is an annual knockout competition featuring 92 teams from the English Premier League and the three tiers of the English Football League. The final, scheduled for Wembley Stadium, offers the winner a place in the UEFA Conference League the following season.
