**Philadelphia, PA** – The University of Pennsylvania’s Department of English is accepting submissions for a special issue of the online journal *Label Me Latina/o*, focused on the theme of “Healing Wounds: Borderlands, Justice, and Creation.”
Inspired by Gloria Anzaldúa’s seminal work, the journal seeks to explore the complex and often contradictory nature of borderlands, both geographical and internal. Submissions should address the pain, wounding, and indeterminacy of these spaces, while also celebrating the joy, creativity, and resilience they can foster.
The editors are particularly interested in works that address decoloniality, indigeneity, resistance, and justice-oriented claims.
**Submission Guidelines:**
* **Deadline:** January 15, 2025
* **Scholarly Articles:** English or Spanish, 2,000-6,000 words, MLA format.
* **Creative Submissions:** English, Spanish, or Spanglish. Poetry (up to 10 pages), creative nonfiction/fiction (up to 25 pages).
