**CLEVELAND, OH -** The Cleveland Browns will be without one of their key offensive linemen for the next month, as All-Pro guard Wyatt Teller suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in Sunday’s loss to the New York Giants.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Teller is expected to miss approximately four weeks, putting him on track to return in late October. Head coach Kevin Stefanski said that Teller could be placed on injured reserve, further solidifying the four-week timeline.
Teller’s absence is a significant blow to the Browns, who are already dealing with a number of injuries on the offensive line. Jedrick Wills Jr. suffered a knee injury, James Hudson III injured his shoulder, and Dawand Jones was benched after halftime with a knee injury.
“We’ll miss Wyatt, he’s a big part of what we do,” said Stefanski. “But we have confidence in our guys to step up and fill the void.”
Zak Zinter, the Browns’ backup right guard, is expected to take over Teller’s starting role. The Virginia native has seen limited action this season, but has shown promise in his 181 snaps.
In addition to Teller’s injury, the Browns are also monitoring the status of superstar defensive end Myles Garrett, who aggravated a foot injury on Sunday. Garrett underwent an MRI and his status is day-to-day.
The Browns currently sit at 1-2 and will face the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4. The team will need to find a way to overcome these injuries if they want to remain competitive in the AFC North.
