Mon Sep 23 21:01:34 UTC 2024: ## Notre Dame Lands Top-100 Recruit Brady Koehler
**South Bend, IN** – Notre Dame basketball has secured a major commitment for the 2025 class, landing 6’9″ forward Brady Koehler, a top-100 recruit from Cathedral High School in Indianapolis. Koehler, known for his versatility and shooting touch, announced his decision on Monday, choosing the Irish over offers from Northwestern, Iowa, and Wake Forest.
Koehler was impressed by Notre Dame’s head coach, Micah Shrewsberry, a fellow Cathedral graduate, and the strong emphasis on family and faith that the program offers. “I just love everything about Notre Dame and staying in state and having that Catholic background,” Koehler said.
The highly-touted prospect is one of the top players in the loaded Indiana 2025 class, which also includes Jalen Haralson, Braylon Mullins, Trent Sisley, and Azavier Robinson.
“They want me to come in and produce right away,” Koehler said of the Notre Dame coaching staff. “They want to play me at like a wing and bigger guard spot. I definitely need to keep hitting the weight room.”
Shrewsberry, who arrived at Notre Dame from Penn State in 2022, has prioritized in-state recruiting since taking the job. Koehler’s commitment adds to a promising future for the Irish program, which has been building through a strong incoming freshman class.
