**NEW YORK, Sept 23:** A vibrant array of Indian musical talent graced the stage at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island on Sunday, captivating thousands ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the Indian diaspora in New York.
The event, titled “The Echoes of India – A Journey Through Art and Tradition,” showcased 382 artists representing India’s diverse cultural landscape. Among the performers were folk singer Aditya Gadhvi, known for his popular Gujarati song “Khalasi”, rapper Hanumankind, music composer DSP, and the San Diego-based musical duo Kiran + Nivi.
Gadhvi, who performed the patriotic song “Har Ghar Tiranga” alongside DSP, expressed his honor in representing Gujarat at such a large-scale event. Other performers included Grammy nominee Chandrika Tandon, STAR Voice of India winner Aishwarya Majumdar, Instagram’s Dancing Dad Ricky Pond, and singing sensation Rex DSouuza.
Prime Minister Modi, who was warmly welcomed by the audience of over 13,000 Indian Americans, personally greeted several of the performers, including DSP, Gadhvi, and Hanumankind.
The event, which highlighted India’s cultural richness, created a dynamic and engaging atmosphere for the diaspora, setting the stage for Prime Minister Modi’s address.
