Mon Sep 23 17:10:37 UTC 2024: ## Celtic’s Idah Blasts Norwich’s Fitness Regime After Scoring Spree

Celtic forward Adam Idah has declared that he is ready to kick on after a prolific start to his Celtic career, scoring three goals in two games. The Irish striker, who joined the Scottish giants from Norwich City in August, pointed the finger at his former club for his lack of match fitness.

Idah came off the bench to score on his Champions League debut against Slovan Bratislava and then bagged a brace in a 5-2 comeback win over Falkirk in the Premier Sports Cup. Despite his impressive scoring form, Idah insists there is room for improvement and blames his lack of pre-season training at Norwich for his initial lack of sharpness.

“I was delighted with the two goals, but I was probably still a bit annoyed with my performance,” Idah said. “I know I got two goals, but there are other things that I’m not really happy about, so it’s a bit of a strange moment for me right now.”

The 23-year-old emphasized that he is eager to build on his recent performances and believes he will reach peak fitness soon. “I didn’t do much in pre-season,” he revealed, “it was just how we trained down at Norwich. Obviously, it’s not as intense down there as it is here, we’re at a big club and we want to be on it.”

Idah’s comments will likely ruffle feathers at Norwich, who are currently struggling in the Championship. The forward’s rapid impact at Celtic is a stark contrast to his experiences at Carrow Road, where he struggled for consistency and game time.

With his fitness improving, Idah will be looking to continue his goalscoring exploits and cement his place in the Celtic starting eleven. The Hoops face a crucial clash with Aberdeen in the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals, where the striker will be eager to showcase his growing influence on the team.
