**Mumbai is on the verge of a transportation revolution with the imminent launch of its first underground metro line, the Aqua Line. The highly anticipated first phase, spanning 12.5 km between Aarey Colony and Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), is expected to begin operations in early October 2024, subject to safety clearance.**

The Aqua Line will offer seamless travel across the city, connecting passengers to both terminals of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The 10 station line promises a swift 30-minute journey, reducing travel time and congestion.

**MMRCL Managing Director, Ashwini Bhide, anticipates a daily ridership of 4.5 lakh passengers for the first phase, while the entire 33.5 km corridor is projected to handle up to 13 lakh riders daily by 2025.** The Aqua Line will be integrated with existing transport options, ensuring a smooth and convenient travel experience.

**The line will operate 96 daily services, with trains departing every 6.5 minutes from 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM.** The introduction of the Aqua Line is expected to significantly improve connectivity within Mumbai, easing traffic congestion and providing a faster and more efficient mode of transport for commuters.
