**Gandhinagar, India** – Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has announced a $3.6 billion partnership with Nokia, Ericsson, and Samsung to modernize its network infrastructure and enhance customer experience. This strategic alliance marks the first time Samsung has been involved with Vi’s network development.

The partnership aims to deliver the latest equipment, enabling Vi to implement a flexible and modular rollout plan. This will allow the company to customize its 4G and 5G service technologies, leading to improved network performance and efficiency. The new equipment is also expected to reduce energy consumption and operating costs.

This deal represents the first step in Vi’s ambitious Rs 55,000 crore ($6.6 billion) capex plan over the next three years. The investment will focus on expanding 4G coverage, increasing data capacity, and launching 5G services in key markets. Vi aims to extend its 4G reach from 1.03 billion to 1.2 billion people.
