Mon Sep 23 14:43:22 UTC 2024: ## Batfleck Fans Suffer FOMO as Storyboard Reveals Unseen Deathstroke Showdown

**New Jersey** – Fans of Ben Affleck’s portrayal of Batman are experiencing serious FOMO after a storyboard artist revealed a planned showdown between Batfleck and Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke, a scene that was ultimately scrapped.

Jay Olivia, a storyboard artist for the scrapped Batfleck solo film, posted an image on Twitter depicting the epic clash, fueling speculation and fan longing for what could have been.

The scene, which would have seen the two characters engage in a brutal hand-to-hand battle, was never filmed due to the cancellation of the solo project. While Affleck’s final appearance as Bruce Wayne was in “The Flash,” it was a brief and ultimately underwhelming role compared to the potential of a standalone film.

“I loved Affleck’s take on Batman,” said Corey, a writer for CinemaBlend. “It was a crime we never got to see him take center stage. The Justice League credits scene set up a conflict with Deathstroke that was never resolved, which makes this storyboard panel even more thrilling.”

The image has sparked renewed interest in the Batfleck universe, with fans lamenting the missed opportunity and wondering if James Gunn, the new head of DC Films, might consider bringing back Affleck and Manganiello for the new DC Universe.

While fans are eagerly awaiting the launch of the new DC Universe with “Superman: Legacy” in July 2025, the Batfleck universe remains a source of fascination and “what if” scenarios. This new revelation serves as a reminder of the missed potential and further fuels the desire for more Batfleck stories.
