Mon Sep 23 14:42:52 UTC 2024: ## Macklemore Drops “Hind’s Hall 2,” Amping Up Palestine Protest Song

Seattle rapper Macklemore has released a powerful sequel to his pro-Palestine protest song “Hind’s Hall,” featuring contributions from Palestinian artists and a direct call to Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Hind’s Hall 2,” released on Saturday, features the voices of Palestinian-American singer Anees, Gaza-born rapper MC Abdul, and Palestinian-American comedian and author Amer Zahr, who also plays the oud. The song includes choir vocals from the LA Palestinian Kids Choir, Lifted! Youth Gospel Choir, and Tiffany Wilson and Friends.

Lyrics on the song take a hard stance against the Israeli government and U.S. involvement in the conflict. MC Abdul raps, “I’ve seen massacres, I’m grateful to be alive/You appreciate life when you survive a genocide.” Macklemore directly addresses Vice President Kamala Harris, calling for an end to U.S. arms shipments to Israel and urging her to “stop sending money and weapons or you ain’t winning Michigan.”

Macklemore performed the song at a concert in Seattle over the weekend, where he also delivered a powerful “Fuck America.” The original “Hind’s Hall” was released in May amid widespread campus protests calling for an end to Israel’s war in Gaza.

Proceeds from “Hind’s Hall 2” will be donated to UNRWA USA, a non-profit that helps Palestinian refugees.
