**New Delhi, India** – Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) has announced a strategic partnership with Samsung, Nokia, and Ericsson to bolster its network infrastructure and accelerate 5G deployment across India. These three-year contracts, totaling $6.6 billion, are part of VIL’s ambitious three-year capital expenditure plan aimed at connecting 1.2 billion people with enhanced 4G coverage and new 5G services.

This partnership signifies a major step forward for VIL, marking the first time the company is collaborating with Samsung on network technology. VIL has a long-standing relationship with both Nokia and Ericsson, who hold equity stakes in the company.

“We are committed to investing in emerging network technologies to provide a best-in-class experience to our customers,” said Akshaya Moondra, CEO of VIL. “We are on our journey of VIL 2.0 and from hereon, VIL will stage a smart turnaround to effectively participate in the industry growth opportunities.”
