Sat Sep 21 19:51:56 UTC 2024: ## Tirumala Laddu Prasadam Now Available at Tondamanadu Temple
**Srikalahasti, September 21, 2024:** The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has begun selling the famed Tirumala laddu prasadam at the ancient Lord Sri Abhaya Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tondamanadu village, near Srikalahasti. The move comes amidst controversy surrounding the alleged presence of “animal fat” in the laddus and aims to make the prasadam accessible to devotees visiting the temple from the Srikalahasti region.
The sale commenced on Saturday, coinciding with the first Saturday of the “peratasi” month, which is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara. The price remains unchanged at ₹50 per laddu.
The Tondamanadu temple, which dates back several centuries, is said to have been built by Thondaman Chakravathy. Villagers expressed joy at the launch of the laddu sale at their temple, noting its historical significance and the devotion it holds for them.
The TTD’s initiative to expand the availability of the laddu prasadam is seen as a positive step towards fulfilling the needs of devotees and promoting accessibility to the sacred offering.
