With the NHL season kicking off soon, Electronic Arts is gearing up to release the latest edition of their popular hockey game, NHL 25, on October 4th. To stoke the excitement, EA has unveiled the ratings of the top 299 players in the league.
Among the Montreal Canadiens, captain Nick Suzuki leads the pack with an 89 overall rating. Teammate Cole Caufield follows closely behind with an 88, and Mike Matheson rounds out the top three with an 87. Kaiden Guhle, Patrik Laine, Kirby Dach, and Juraj Slafkovsky all earned an 85 rating, making them the only other Habs to crack EA’s top 299.
Fans are debating the accuracy of these ratings, especially Suzuki’s 89. Some argue he deserves higher recognition for his contributions to the ice.
