The Delhi government has announced a cabinet reshuffle, with several key changes in portfolios and the induction of a new minister.

Gopal Rai, the current Environment Minister, retains his portfolio while also serving as the Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi state convener. Kailash Gahlot, the former Transport Minister, has been given a wider range of responsibilities, including Administrative Reforms, Revenue, Law, and Women and Child Development.

Saurabh Bharadwaj, the previous Health Minister, will continue to head the department, while also taking on responsibilities for Urban Development, Tourism, and Industry.

Imran Hussain retains his portfolio as Minister of Food and Civil Supplies and Election.

Mukesh Ahlawat, a first-time MLA from Sultanpur Majra, has been inducted to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of former social welfare minister Raaj Kumar Anand. He will be responsible for Labour, Land, Employment, and SC&ST affairs.

The reshuffle comes as the Kejriwal government continues its focus on various social welfare initiatives and urban development projects.
