Sat Sep 21 11:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Singapore’s Biggest Guitar Collaboration: 70 Guitarists Unleash a 25-Minute Instrumental Masterpiece

**SINGAPORE** – In a monumental display of musical unity, 70 Singaporean guitarists from diverse genres have come together to create a 25-minute instrumental track titled “Singapore’s Biggest Guitar Collaboration 2024.” Released on streaming platforms and YouTube, the song showcases the talent and passion of local musicians, ranging from veterans like Rosli Mohalim (Sweet Charity) to rising stars like Simon Lai (A-mei, JJ Lin).

Each of the 70 guitarists, representing rock, metal, reggae, jazz, and more, contributed a 20-second solo, resulting in a captivating medley of electric guitar music. Recorded at Exuism Record studio from June to August, the project culminates in a music video launched at R&W Bikerz Cornerz, earning the collaboration a place in the Singapore Book of Records for “largest medley of electric guitar music with 70 guitarists.”

Among the participating musicians are prominent figures like Randolf Arriola, Moliano Rasmadi (Lovehunters), Vinod (Rudra), Suhaimi Subandie (Stompin’ Ground), Sebastian Ho (Stefanie Sun, Kit Chan, Singapore Symphony Orchestra), and the youngest contributor, 16-year-old Aydrean Skullbanger, performing alongside his father Bo Skullbanger (Chugga Ritual).

The project, spearheaded by guitarist Olly Maguire and co-produced by Amyr Abadawn, was driven by a shared love for music and a desire to demonstrate the collaborative spirit of the Singaporean guitar community.

“This project displays the spirit of Singapore, regardless of race, language or religion,” says Lai. “Everyone is involved just for the love of music and guitars.”

The song, which features a contribution from guitarist Wynn Irwin, who recently suffered a stroke, aims to raise awareness and support for stroke victims. Royalties and proceeds from the track will be donated to a charitable organisation dedicated to helping stroke survivors.

“Singapore’s Biggest Guitar Collaboration 2024” is a testament to the depth of musical talent in Singapore and the power of collaboration. It’s a celebration of music, community, and the enduring spirit of the guitar.
