**Wilmington, Delaware:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India met with US President Joe Biden on Friday at the Quad Leaders’ Summit, where Biden welcomed Modi to his home. The two leaders embraced warmly, with Biden later taking Modi by the hand to show him inside the residence.

“The United States’ partnership with India is stronger, closer, and more dynamic than any time in history,” Biden posted on X, sharing photos of the meeting with Modi. “Prime Minister Modi, each time we sit down, I’m struck by our ability to find new areas of cooperation. Today was no different.”

The meeting highlighted the growing strategic partnership between India and the US, with both leaders emphasizing their commitment to finding new areas of cooperation.

During his three-day visit, Modi will hold bilateral meetings with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who are also in the US for the Quad Summit.

The annual Quad Leaders’ Summit, hosted by Biden in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, aims to further cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region and explore ways to find peaceful resolutions to conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza. The Quad, a grouping of the US, India, Australia, and Japan, promotes a free and open Indo-Pacific, with China viewing it as an anti-Beijing bloc.

“I am looking forward to joining my partners, President Biden, Prime Minister Albanese and Prime Minister Kishida for the Quad Leaders’ Summit,” Modi said before departing for the US. “This forum has emerged as a leading grouping of like-minded nations working for peace, progress, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.”

The meeting between Modi and Biden comes on the heels of several bilateral talks between officials from both sides, focusing on a wide range of issues.
