**New York City Leads the Way with Highest Occupancy**
The U.S. hotel industry saw a slight dip in performance compared to the previous month, but continued to show positive year-over-year growth, according to August 2024 data released by CoStar, a leading provider of real estate information and analytics.
While the overall industry experienced a decline from July, New York City stood out with the highest occupancy level at 87.3%, representing a 5.2% increase from the previous year. Conversely, New Orleans and Phoenix recorded the lowest occupancies at 54.1% and 58.4%, respectively.
