**Chennai:** Rishabh Pant roared back into Test cricket with a blistering century in the second innings of the ongoing Test match against Bangladesh. He smashed his way to 109 runs off 128 balls, hitting 13 boundaries and 4 sixes, putting India in a commanding position before being dismissed.

Pant’s return to form was instrumental in India’s resurgence after they were struggling at 67/3. He and Shubman Gill (who is also currently batting on 112) put on a 167-run partnership, taking the score to 234 before Pant fell to a brilliant catch by Mehdi Hasan Miraz.

At the time of writing, India has a commanding lead of 502 runs with Gill and KL Rahul (21) at the crease. Gill has already reached a century of his own, hitting 10 fours and 3 sixes in his innings.

Mehdi Hasan Miraz is the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh, taking two wickets. Taskin Ahmed and Nahimd Rana have also bagged a wicket each.
