Fri Sep 20 12:58:36 UTC 2024: ## North Fargo Welcomes New Entertainment Hub: Xcalibur Entertainment Opens its Doors

**FARGO, ND** – North Fargo residents are celebrating the grand opening of Xcalibur Entertainment, a revamped entertainment center that replaces the former Red River Lanes bowling center and Slammer’s Sports Bar. The all-ages venue, located at 707 28th Ave. N, officially opened its doors on Monday, September 16th, after a series of soft opening days.

The space boasts a completely revamped interior, featuring over 60 new arcade games, 12 modernized bowling lanes with state-of-the-art screens, and a newly designed bar area called The Broken Shield. The bar offers 16 taps, big-screen TVs, and additional gaming options like blackjack tables, darts, and electronic pull tab machines.

The former Slammer’s has been transformed into a more open space, with an expanded kitchen serving burgers, appetizers, salads, desserts, and pizza. Three private party rooms are also available for small events.

“People are really happy,” said Sales Manager Shashika “Sha” Fernando. “Everything in here is brand new. There’s a full service bar. There’s a full-service restaurant.”

The arcade is a vibrant playground for all ages, offering a range of games from classic favorites like Space Invaders and air hockey to newer attractions like the virtual reality Rabbids roller coaster ride. Claw machines, basketball shooting and pitching games, and even an axe-throwing game are available.

Local residents are excited about the new entertainment option in their neighborhood. “I like it. It’s looks good,” said Adam Hauff, who brought his children to enjoy the games and bowling. “It’s nice to have something like this up north (in Fargo), because there’s nothing up here like it.”

Xcalibur Entertainment is owned by Mike Jones, who inherited the business from his parents, Charley and MJ Jones. Mike Jones has poured his heart and soul into creating this new entertainment space, overcoming challenges like the pandemic and rising costs. “It’s been a long road and everything got so expensive,” said MJ Jones, who remains a shareholder in the business. “I’m just so thankful to see this done.”

With its diverse offerings, Xcalibur Entertainment promises to be a popular destination for families, friends, and anyone looking for a fun night out. It’s open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more information, visit Xcaliburent.com.
