The Building Safety Regulator (BSR) requires all building control bodies to submit quarterly and annual data to demonstrate compliance with operational standards rules.

**Data Submission Requirements:**

* Local authorities and registered building control approvers must use provided spreadsheets to submit their data.
* The deadline for submission is 30 April following the end of the return period (e.g., 30 April 2025 for the period 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025).
* Data should be entered into the spreadsheet and emailed to bsr-bcb-returns@hse.gov.uk as an .xlsx file.
* Only one spreadsheet should be attached per email.
* The email address used for submission must be previously validated by BSR.
* BSR will confirm receipt of the spreadsheet and will contact the sender if additional information is required or if the spreadsheet is rejected for reasons such as missing data, incorrect format, or invalid email address.
