**Moscow, September 19 (KCNA)** – North Korea’s Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui, currently in Russia to attend the Eurasian Women’s Forum and the BRICS Women’s Forum in St. Petersburg, met with her Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on September 17.
The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen the bilateral relations between North Korea and Russia in various fields, guided by the existing treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership. They also explored ways to enhance cooperation on international issues.
The talks reportedly took place in a “comradely and warm atmosphere,” according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). This meeting signifies a continued effort by both nations to strengthen their strategic partnership, particularly as North Korea navigates increasing international pressure related to its nuclear program.
