**Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia** – Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has announced that they will be launching a new model before the end of the year, following the recent debut of the facelifted Xpander. While the specific model remains unconfirmed, strong indicators point towards the third-generation Mitsubishi Triton pick-up truck.

The new Triton, which made its global debut in Thailand last July, boasts a larger size, increased rigidity, and a new engine. It’s available in three body styles – double-cab, single-cab, and club-cab – with the double-cab variant expected to be the most popular in Malaysia.

The new 2.4-liter inline-four diesel engine offers three power output options: 150 PS, 184 PS, and 204 PS. While Thailand offers all three options, Indonesia offers six variants, all featuring the mid-output 184 PS engine.

The redesigned interior features improved ergonomics and enhanced usability, with features like dual-zone climate control, a wireless phone charger, and a seven-inch LCD multi-information display. Safety features include Forward Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and the addition of Adaptive Cruise Control.

MMM has not yet confirmed a specific launch date, but given the time remaining in the year, it’s anticipated to happen within the next three months.
