Wed Sep 18 21:47:00 UTC 2024: ## Marshall Football Offers Tudor’s Biscuit NIL Deal to Lure Ohio State Transfers

**Huntington, WV** – Marshall University football coach Charles Huff is employing a unique strategy to combat the financial advantages of powerhouse programs like Ohio State: all-you-can-eat Tudor’s biscuits.

Huff, known for his creative recruiting tactics, acknowledged the significant disparity in NIL funding between the Thundering Herd and the Buckeyes. “We would love to have some of those guys from Ohio State,” Huff said. “If they want to transfer on down, we’ve got a Tudor’s Biscuit NIL. All you can eat.”

While acknowledging the allure of a Tudor’s buffet might not be enough to entice Ohio State’s top talent, Huff’s strategy highlights the challenges facing smaller programs in the era of NIL.

“The way college football is going, most smaller programs like Marshall are really only renting the football services of these guys for a season or two,” Huff explained. “So why not make a (greasy) splash to win some games now?”

Meanwhile, Marshall’s men’s soccer team is looking to find consistency after a strong start to the season. They are scheduled to open Sun Belt Conference play on the road against South Carolina this Friday. The women’s soccer team, under first-year head coach Rafa Simoes, is also gearing up for conference play, starting their campaign against Georgia State in Atlanta on Sunday.
