**Lewisburg, WV** – Carnegie Hall is set to begin its 41st Mainstage Season on Sunday, October 12th, at 7 p.m. with a special performance by “Mountain Stage,” hosted by renowned country music star Kathy Mattea.

The evening will feature a diverse lineup of artists, including American Patchwork Quartet, Kyshona, The Brother Brothers, and Stephanie Lambring, among others. Audience members will have the opportunity to be part of the live radio audience as a new episode of “Mountain Stage” is recorded for NPR Music.

Guests are invited to enjoy a free preshow reception from 6-6:45 p.m. in the Board Room, adjacent to the Hamilton Auditorium.

“Mountain Stage” has been a staple of public radio for 40 years, captivating audiences with its live music broadcasts. Created by Andy Ridenour, Larry Groce, and the late Francis Fisher, the show has become a household name and a bucket list event for musicians and music lovers worldwide.

“Over the years, ‘Mountain Stage’ has garnered respect and support from the artists they’ve championed, and it’s a privilege and an honor to keep this train going and give Larry some much-deserved time off,” said host Kathy Mattea.
