Wed Sep 18 07:08:00 UTC 2024: ## American-Made Battery Management System to Combat Cybersecurity Threats

**ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept. 17, 2024** – Fractal EMS, a leading provider of advanced solar and storage controls, has partnered with Gold Electronic Equipment Inc., a high-tech company specializing in battery management systems (BMS). The partnership will deliver a secure, American-made BMS, dubbed Fractal BMS, to customers worldwide.

The Fractal BMS boasts a three-level architecture (module, rack, and system) and incorporates an American-sourced chip, printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), and robust cybersecurity features, ensuring compliance with U.S. policies on sourcing and critical infrastructure protection.

This partnership addresses a critical gap in the market, as other proposed American BMS solutions have failed to address cybersecurity concerns. Some companies license foreign BMS or only provide a top-level device, leaving them vulnerable to cyberattacks.

“We are excited to collaborate with Gold to bring this advanced American BMS to the market,” said Daniel Crotzer, CEO at Fractal EMS. “This partnership demonstrates our commitment to innovation, security, and supporting American technology.”

The Fractal BMS will undergo UL testing in late October 2024 and aims to become the gold standard for battery energy storage systems (BESS) deployments. It will offer a reliable and secure solution for battery management needs, mitigating risks associated with Foreign Entities of Concern (FEOC) and known cyber vulnerabilities in programmable devices.

The American BMS will be available globally to battery manufacturers, offering a secure and reliable solution for battery management needs.
