The Dream can clinch their playoff berth with a win against the Liberty on Thursday. A loss, however, would open the door for either the Sky or the Mystics to claim the final spot.
The Mystics face the Indiana Fever on Thursday, while the Sky will play the Connecticut Sun. The outcome of these games will determine who ultimately grabs the eighth seed.
Tiebreakers will come into play if multiple teams end the season with the same record. The Mystics hold the advantage over the Sky due to winning their head-to-head series 3-1.
The WNBA playoffs begin with the top eight teams competing in a single-elimination format. The quarterfinals will see the following matchups: 1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, 3 vs. 6, and 4 vs. 5.
