**London, UK** – Kyle Clifford, 26, has been charged with the murders of Carol Hunt (61), Hannah Hunt (28), and Louise Hunt (25) in a crossbow attack at their home in Bushey, Hertfordshire on July 9th.
Clifford, who was found injured in a cemetery near his home in Enfield, north London, on July 10th, was also charged with false imprisonment and possession of offensive weapons. He appeared in court via video link on Tuesday and was remanded in custody.
The victims were the wife and daughters of BBC racing commentator John Hunt.
According to the prosecution, police were called to the Hunt family home by Hannah Hunt after she had been shot with a crossbow. Police found the front door open and discovered Louise tied up and shot with a crossbow. Carol Hunt had been stabbed multiple times with a knife, while Hannah Hunt had also been shot with a crossbow in the chest.
The alleged weapons used in the attack were an MX-405 compact crossbow and a 10-inch butcher’s knife.
A trial date has not yet been set, and inquiries are being made about a suitable court for Clifford, who is a wheelchair user.
Mr. Hunt and his surviving daughter Amy have expressed their devastation at the killings. A fundraiser set up to support them has raised over £120,000.
Police are continuing their investigation to gather evidence and establish the full circumstances of the attack. They are seeking justice for the Hunt family.
