Wed Sep 18 05:52:00 UTC 2024: ## India Eye Series Win Against Bangladesh as Pant and Kohli Make Test Returns

**Chennai, India:** India, led by Rohit Sharma, are set to kick off their Test season with a two-match series against Bangladesh starting on September 19th. The series marks the return of several key players, including Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli, both making their comebacks after significant absences.

Pant, who last played a Test match in December 2022 before suffering injuries in a car crash, has already proven his form and fitness after his T20 World Cup return earlier this year. Kohli, meanwhile, missed the recent Test series against England due to the birth of his son.

KL Rahul also returns to the Test fold after missing much of the England series due to injury. India’s batting lineup boasts a wealth of experience with the return of these key players, while the bowling attack, in the absence of Mohammed Shami, features a formidable combination of pace and spin.

Jasprit Bumrah is back from a break and will lead the pace attack alongside Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep. Young left-arm pacer Yash Dayal receives his maiden call-up for the series. The spin attack sees the return of Ravindra Jadeja, who joins forces with R Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav. Jadeja and Axar Patel will also contribute to the all-rounders’ department.

The first Test will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from September 19th to 23rd, followed by the second Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur from September 27th to October 1st. India, aiming to retain their top spot on the World Test Championship points table, will be looking to secure a clean sweep against Bangladesh.

**The series will be broadcasted live on the Sports18 network in India and can be streamed live on the Jio Cinema app and website.**
