**GIRONA, Spain** – FC Barcelona continued their blistering start to the LaLiga season with a convincing 4-1 victory over Girona on Sunday. Teenager Lamine Yamal was the star of the show, scoring twice in the first half to put Barcelona in control.
Yamal’s goals in the 30th and 37th minutes gave Barcelona a two-goal cushion, which Dani Olmo extended shortly after the break with a close-range finish. Pedri added a fourth goal in the 64th minute to seal the victory.
Girona pulled one back through substitute Cristhian Stuani in the 80th minute, but the damage had already been done. Barcelona were reduced to ten men in the 86th minute when forward Ferran Torres received a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Yaser Asprilla.
The win keeps Barcelona atop the LaLiga table with 15 points, four points clear of Real Madrid and Villarreal. Girona sit in seventh place with seven points.
