**Bellevue, Nebraska** – A notorious abortion clinic in Bellevue, Nebraska, is facing multiple violations and an ongoing investigation after reports of illegal activity surfaced. The clinic, previously operated by the late LeRoy Carhart, has been under scrutiny since his death in April 2023.
According to Operation Rescue, a whistleblower alerted them to illegal activity by Tyrone Malloy, a felon abortionist who lost his medical license for fraud. Malloy was allegedly seeing patients without a license, despite the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) confirming his application was closed due to his failure to submit required documents.
A subsequent DHHS investigation revealed that the clinic failed to ensure dispensed drugs were administered by a licensed physician between August 2023 and November 2023. The clinic also failed to conduct mandatory background checks on employees, including inquiries with Adult Protective Services to screen for potential abusers of vulnerable adults.
Operation Rescue President Troy Newman expressed concern over the clinic’s disregard for patient safety and regulations. He noted the facility’s history of violations, including the death of Christin Gilbert, an 18-year-old with Down Syndrome, who died in 2005 due to neglect and complications from an abortion procedure.
“It’s certainly not a surprise that this reckless and uncaring facility would show no concern for this incredibly vulnerable and precious segment of our society,” Newman said.
The investigation into the clinic’s numerous violations is ongoing. Operation Rescue has vowed to continue exposing the alleged wrongdoing and pursuing legal action to close the facility.
