Sun Sep 15 16:33:38 UTC 2024: ## Quiboloy Finds Solace in Bible Study Amidst Detention

**MANILA, PHILIPPINES** – Controversial pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), is reportedly finding solace in studying the Bible while detained at the Philippine National Police custodial center in Camp Crame.

This was disclosed by Quiboloy’s lawyer, Atty. Mark Tolentino, who described their meetings as “bible studies” focused on spiritual matters rather than legal issues.

Tolentino revealed that Quiboloy is experiencing boredom and isolation after his co-accused were transferred to the Pasig City Jail.

Quiboloy and four others were arrested on September 8th following a warrant for their arrest on charges of human trafficking and other crimes. They were initially ordered to be transferred to the Quezon City Jail, but remained at the PNP custodial center.

While declining to comment on the ongoing case citing sub judice rules, Tolentino’s statement offers a glimpse into Quiboloy’s current state of mind, suggesting that faith remains a source of comfort for the beleaguered pastor.

This revelation comes amidst heightened scrutiny of Quiboloy and his church, with authorities continuing their investigation into the alleged human trafficking crimes.
