Tue Sep 17 08:00:25 UTC 2024: ## Modi Government Celebrates 100 Days in Office, Focuses on Infrastructure Development

**New Delhi, India** – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and various ministries are celebrating the 100th day of the NDA government’s third term in office on Tuesday, which also coincides with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 74th birthday.

The day is marked by a series of press conferences by Union Ministers, showcasing the government’s achievements over the past 100 days. Key highlights include:

* **Infrastructure Push:** The government has cleared and approved projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore, with a focus on roads, ports, and airports. The Polavaram irrigation project in Andhra Pradesh is a major example.
* **Fisheries Scheme:** The Ministry for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying will hold its first press conference highlighting the achievements of the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, a Rs 6,000 crore scheme aimed at boosting fisheries production, quality, and exports.
* **MSME Report Card:** Union Minister for MSME Jitan Ram Manjhi will also give a report on the ministry’s achievements.

Prime Minister Modi, speaking at an event in Ahmedabad, highlighted the government’s focus on completing its 100-day agenda despite criticism from the opposition.

However, the opposition has criticized the government for retracting some of its decisions, including the withdrawal of lateral entry advertisement for top government posts and the draft Broadcasting Services (Regulation) Bill, which raised concerns about government control over online content.

Congress leader Supriya Shrinate has labelled Prime Minister Modi as “weak” and “dependent on crutches,” citing these retractions as evidence.

The government’s 100-day mark comes as a time for reflection and celebration, with the BJP highlighting its achievements in infrastructure development. However, the opposition continues to voice concerns about the government’s policy changes and alleged dependence on allies for stability.
