**Orlando, FL** – Disney’s Animal Kingdom is getting ready to welcome a new addition to their tiger family! Sohni, the park’s female tiger, is pregnant with a cub, confirmed by an ultrasound conducted by Animal Kingdom Cast Members.

Sohni previously gave birth to twin tigers, Jeda and Anala, in August 2017. Jeda has since relocated to the San Antonio Zoo as part of the Species Survival Plan.

The new cub is expected to arrive by the end of the year, as a tiger’s gestation period is typically around 3.5 months. Animal Kingdom caretakers are closely monitoring both Sohni and the growing cub throughout the pregnancy.

Guests can visit the Maharajah Jungle Trek to congratulate Sohni and Conrad, the male tiger who arrived at the park in 2022, and will soon become a father.

This exciting arrival is part of Animal Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to conserve endangered species and promote their populations. Guests can learn more about these conservation efforts during their visit to the park.
