**LOS ANGELES, CA** – Former Democratic National Committee delegate and co-chair for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign, Gloria Romero, has announced her departure from the Democratic Party and her support for the Republican Party and former President Donald Trump.

Romero, a former Democratic leader of the California State Senate, cited the party’s “woke” shift and a number of policy issues as her reasons for the switch. She told Fox News’ Pete Hegseth that she was particularly influenced by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s recent endorsement of Trump, stating, “When I saw RFK say, ‘You know what? I am leaving the party. I am going to support Trump,’ I said I’m going to join him and support President Trump as well.”

Romero voiced concerns about the Democratic Party’s stance on issues like abortion, education, and border security. She criticized Vice President Kamala Harris’s record as California Attorney General and argued that the party’s “giant leap toward authoritarianism and censorship” had led to the silencing of individual freedoms.

She further expressed dissatisfaction with the party’s “extreme left” direction and alleged alliance with what she calls the “Hamas caucus” to win swing states. In contrast, Romero believes that the Republican Party under Trump represents an agenda for a “safe and secure” America.

Romero’s departure follows a trend of high-profile Democrats leaving the party in recent years. Her move highlights the increasing polarization of American politics and the growing dissatisfaction with the establishment within both parties.
