Sun Sep 15 14:48:11 UTC 2024: ## Rams’ Rising Star Puka Nacua Out 5-7 Weeks With Knee Injury

**LOS ANGELES, CA** – The Los Angeles Rams are facing a significant blow to their offense as star wide receiver Puka Nacua is expected to be sidelined for 5-7 weeks with a right PCL sprain. The injury, sustained in the first half of the season opener against the Detroit Lions, has been a persistent issue for the 23-year-old, who initially injured the knee in training camp.

Nacua’s absence comes at a crucial time for the Rams, who were hoping to build on the young receiver’s breakout performance last season. He stepped up in the absence of Cooper Kupp, who was also injured early in the 2023 season.

With Nacua now on injured reserve, Kupp has the chance to reclaim his spot as one of the NFL’s top receivers. The Rams will also rely on Tutu Atwell, Tyler Johnson, and rookie Jordan Whittington to fill the void.

“It’s unfortunate to lose Puka for a while,” said head coach Sean McVay. “But we have a lot of talent on this team and we’re confident that other players will step up.”

The Rams will hope Nacua can return to full health and make a strong comeback, but his absence for at least half the season puts pressure on the remaining receivers to contribute.
